Dr. Marina Vorobeva
Dr. Marina Vorobeva was born in Nizhnekamsk, Russia. From an early age, she had a passion for animals, which inspired her to pursue a veterinary degree. In 2001, she graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine qualification from the Kazan Academy of Veterinary Science. After graduation, she began working at a veterinary clinic, and in 2006, she established her own practice, where she served as a general practitioner and surgeon.
In 2008, Dr. Vorobeva earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Animal Internal Medicine. Two years later, in 2010, she completed an internship and began working as a referral veterinary ophthalmologist. That same year, she became a member of the European Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology.
Dr. Vorobeva has continued to advance her professional education and skills. In 2014, she completed the Basic Science Course in Veterinary and Comparative Ophthalmology at the NC College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. In 2015, she attended a workshop on ocular oncology in Lisbon, Portugal. In 2017, she participated in a visitor program at the ophthalmology department of the University of Zurich. In 2019, she completed an advanced course on intraocular surgery in Hennigsdorf, Germany.
As a referral ophthalmologist, Dr. Vorobeva is skilled in treating a wide range of eye conditions across various species, including cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, and birds. Her expertise covers conditions such as glaucoma, conjunctivitis, cataracts, and corneal ulcers.
In August 2022, Dr. Vorobeva moved to Dubai to broaden her clinical experience and work on a greater variety of cases. At Modern Vet, she utilized state-of-the-art ophthalmology equipment to perform advanced procedures such as cataract surgeries, a full range of microscopic surgeries, eye prostheses, and corneal surgeries. Currently, her primary area of interest is genetic eye diseases.
Dr. Vorobeva has now joined The Eye Vet, where she continues to bring her extensive expertise and passion for veterinary ophthalmology. As part of The Eye Vet team, she focuses on providing specialized care and innovative treatments for her patients, furthering her commitment to advancing the field of veterinary ophthalmology.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Vorobeva is an animal lover who dedicates her free time to caring for her two dogs and cat. She is also passionate about sports and practices aerial yoga. Additionally, she has participated in several triathlon competitions, including Ironman events, which allow her to combine her love of fitness with her passion for travel.
