Hi, I’m Dr. Kiranraj KR, a veterinarian from Thrissur, Kerala. I graduated in Veterinary Science from the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pookode, Wayanad. My journey into veterinary ophthalmology began during my first job at a pre-clinical research facility in Hyderabad.

It was there that I conducted ophthalmological examinations using indirect and direct ophthalmoscopes. I was fascinated by the vibrant, colorful fundus of dogs and discovered my passion for exploring the intricate world of veterinary eyes.

Later, I moved back to my hometown and gained experience in general practice, connecting with pet owners and treating their beloved companions. But my heart always wanted to specialize in veterinary ophthalmology.

One day, I came across The Eye Vet. That’s when I realized that such specialized care, dedicated solely to veterinary eye problems, exists in India. I got curious and started researching, and soon visited The Eye Vet. Inspired by their mission, I decided to join The Eye Vet to pursue my dream of becoming a veterinary ophthalmologist and contributing to improving animals’ vision and quality of life.

Apart from treating animals, I enjoy painting, urban sketching, traveling, bird watching, and photography—activities that fuel my creativity and perspective.

Now, I’m excited to be a part of The Eye Vet team, helping pets and animals see their world more clearly.
