From the time he was a child, Dr. Aakash Vedpathak was captivated by animals and birds, often found in the company of strays and nursing injured birds. With a passion for biology and medical sciences, and a love for animals, the path to veterinary science was a natural choice. After completing his BVSc from Bombay Veterinary College and topping his year, he decided to pursue a master’s degree in Surgery. During his education, he developed an interest in ophthalmology and wrote his thesis on Grafting techniques for treating corneal ulcers in dogs. 

Dr. Aakash worked as a senior veterinary surgeon at a leading small animal veterinary practice in South Mumbai, leading a team of over 15 veterinarians and gaining invaluable experience. After five years, he decided to pursue his dream of specializing in ophthalmology and joined The Eye Vet team in April 2021.
