BLIND PETS

Sometimes blindness is irreversible. Animals who go suddenly blind, take a little time to adjust to their new life without vision. It is a heartbreaking sight for the owners and they can make a hasty decision to put their pet to sleep. But blindness is most certainly not a strong enough reason to euthanize your pet.

Blind pets do extremely well and will adjust to their familiar surroundings within few weeks.

As a parent of a blind pet, you can help them by applying scented oil to the legs of the furniture. Your pet will associate this smell with obstacles and will be able to move around the house much more easily. Try not to move the furniture around the house.
