A horse checkup camp was conducted in Mahabaleshwar at Venna Lake on 8th Feb ‘23. 

World renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Richard J. McMullen along with Dr. Kasturi Bhadsavle (founder of The Eye Vet) and her team visited the horse checkup camp to especially conduct an eye checkup for the horses of the localities.  

This initiative received an overwhelming response. The eye checkup was conducted for 20+ horses in which it was found that most of the horses suffered through ocular conditions due to allergies. Extending the primary checkup initiative, two horses were given photo dynamic laser therapy as they needed the treatment on an urgent basis. 

The Eye Vet is India’s first and only specialty veterinary ophthalmology clinic that offers complete eye care for animals including consultations, diagnostic tests, advanced ophthalmic surgeries.  Dr. Kasturi Bhadsavle, India’s leading veterinary ophthalmologist, founded The Eye Vet in 2018. Dr. Kasturi is a veterinary graduate from Mumbai & trained further in veterinary ophthalmology in Israel & the USA, later migrated to Australia where she practiced in general medicine for 4 years. She started her own ophthalmic consultation practice in Australia.  But she always had a strong attraction towards home and wanted to offer her expertise to pet owners in India, hence moved back to India.

The Eye Vet is presently located at Mumbai & Pune and is open 6 days a week and offers world class consultation / surgical services to pet patients across India.
